Xenophobia is a decades old phenomenon. OneWorld investigates what it means, if there is a trend among western countries with the rise of the far right and what we can do about it.

In a three piece article I researched, analysed and visualised the data on the meaning of xenophobia. I dove into data among Europeans and their view on immigration.

I researched and visualised the percentages of far right parties in parlement in Europe over the course of 20 years.

A timeline shows how xenophobia evolved from the 70s onwards in the Netherlands, research done by Roxane Soudagar.

And animated summary of the project: script edited by OneWorld, image research, creation and animation done by me.

In addition to the data research and visualisation, I animated a summary of the three piece story. In three chapters the animation covers the meaning, origin and ways to combat xenophobia.
